Physics II

Physics I is a follow-up to Physics II, focusing on advanced topics in mechanics, electromagnetism, optics, and modern physics. The course delves into oscillatory motion, mechanical waves, and sound, particularly emphasizing human auditory perception. Electromagnetic principles covered include the nature of electric and magnetic fields, their origins and behavior around charged particles and currents, electrical circuitry, induction phenomena, and the propagation of electromagnetic waves. Geometric and physical optics are also explored, with discussions on how images are formed, the effects of interference, and the phenomena of diffraction. Special relativity and early quantum theory are introduced towards the end of the course.

Module Breakdown:

In this 4-credit, 12-week course, you will explore 18 modules covering a wide range of physics topics. Each module includes a lecture, sample documentation, reflections, self-directed activities, quizzes, and a summary to reinforce learning.

Tuition: $400
